<description>Really enjoyed this class, Monk. The wonderful explanations of what looking, waiting, and judging not is.. I like that you said, &lt;i&gt;“one can practice the Course for 20 years and still scratch their head and say “What is forgiveness again?”.. &lt;/i&gt; Our resistance is THAT strong.

Ken quote: “Forgiveness doesn’t mean that your heart is filled with sweetness and light. Forgiveness means that you forgive yourself because your heart is filled with evil, darkness, sin and murder.” And “Being a good Course student is recognizing your thoughts that are dark, of sin and fear.”
I appreciate that you keep me focused on this. It is so easy to think of the term ’spiritual’ to mean all sweetness and light, or you’re failing. I love being reminded that we are really on a journey through our beliefs in our HORRIBLENESS… however false they may be, we still believe in them.

I also loved this statement:
“Forgiveness is looking at how much we LOVE pain, guilt and fear.. we embrace it, and are attracted to it. We get afraid of love and run into the ego’s arms.”

I am grateful for each and every sentence and line you tell me that helps me practice what the Course says… and not what I have made it out to be…

Love,
