Class: Who is My Teacher?

acimmonkClass summary: Answers four questions from Oratory subscribers: (1) Who is my teacher? Answer gives a working definition of what learning is, and an explanation as to who does the learning and who does the teaching. (2) How can I ‘do nothing’ to solve my problems (fear, anger, bad relationships), when they are such a big deal? It seems I have to solve it. Answer talks about how to dissipate guilt and fear, and how we must move beyond the temptation to do “home-improvement” jobs on our egos. (3) When we are filled with hate, do we just cope with the hate? I feel frustrated that I am not moving forward with this, but appear to be indulging my anger often. Answer talks about feeling like an outsider, and questioning our math (e.g. 2+2=4) and talks about the temptation to perceive ourselves unfairly treated. (4) Is there a right-minded and a wrong-minded way of seeing “I don’t understand anything”? Answer talks about coming to a quiet place of surrender. Class finishes with a handful of ”Mountain musings” and a Helen poem.
