La Quinta Hotel, Temecula
As promised, here are the details on the kind and generous deal I was given by Vimal Patel, General Manager of La Quinta Hotel in Temecula.
(I want to mention upfront: Any positive things I may say about La Quinta are without a hidden or personal agenda; I don’t receive any kickbacks when you book with them. I only want to assist readers, friends and ACIM students in finding comfortable, affordable accommodations while attending workshops at the Foundation. I will give an honest assessment and more information about my experiences at this hotel as time goes on which will hopefully provide you with helpful information when choosing a hotel when coming to Temecula. If for some reason it doesn’t turn out to be a great hotel, I will find us another deal elsewhere in town and let you know about it here. I will say my first impressions were very favorable. The hotel — which is only 8 months old — was clean and well-presented, and the staff was professional and friendly. They were sincere in their desire to be a good destination for Course students, as witnessed by the generosity of their deal.)
To get the rates below, all you have to do is say you’re with ACIM Monk or an ACIM student:

They offer a deluxe continental breakfast: Hot eggs, sausages, waffles. Also yoghurt, fresh, fruit etc.
Along with the usual amenities they also have free wireless (which I was told was reliable), flat screen TVs, laundry facilities, a fitness/exercise room, and a large breakfast room. Oh, and they’re 100% non-smoking. I also noticed their rating was 4.7/5 as given by 33 online reviewers at hotel.com.
For A Course in Miracles students this is the closest hotel to the Foundation. I measured it as .4 of a mile. So it’s easy walking distance, and if you do drive, you won’t have any traffic issues as you won’t have to deal with the Winchester intersection which can take five minutes by itself.
I canceled my reservations at the Best Western for February and March, and made new ones at La Quinta and I will let you know how I make out.
