Metaphor: Little House on the Prairie

Little House on the Prairie ACIMKen says that throughout the Course “Jesus talks funny”. He says different things in different passages. Someone reading A Course in Miracles from an analytical, scientific bent, would claim it full of contradiction and hypocrisy. One way to explain this is the “Little House on the Prairie Phenomenon”.

Remember how there was one schoolhouse, with one room, with students from kindergarten on up to high school?

Part of the loving genius of ACIM is that Jesus can stand in front of such a class and read a paragraph from his Course, and it would be experienced as helpful and be understood in different ways by all the different students, all at the same time, from the newest student to the most advanced. In fact, as we advance year after year, we could read the same paragraph and get as much out of it in an entirely new way, as we climb the ladder of forgiveness.
