Monastery Fortified, Re-opened
Earlier this evening the new comprehensive security fortifications and protocols were completed and the monastery has re-opened its doors. (But not its back doors.)
If you’re still getting security warnings simply clear the cache of your internet browser and restart your computer. And of course always be sure to do a virus and spyware scan after receiving warnings from your onboard anti-virus program.
As part of the efforts to protect the monastery from further hacker attempts, my security team (i.e. my security dude and developer dude) has advised me to switch to a more secure, more professional webhost. I will be making that move in the coming week, and there may be a brief period of downtime while that happens, but I will alert you when that might occur.
In private emails I’ve been asked to post “the cat narration” I’ve had up during the past few days when the site was down. I will attempt to do that (the files are large animated gifs so it might not be possible).
I’ve also been asked about the free excerpt of my Monk Academy classes I promised to post for those who were considering subscribing to my monthly classes (The Oratory of the Quiet Heart), and that is coming momentarily.
A couple other things I will post in the coming days: A review of La Quinta Hotel, Temecula, and Resta Burnham’s Optimum Week in Temecula. She emailed it to me and gave me permission to post it. Hint: It’s a week in July.
I want to say thank you to everyone for their supportive emails while the monastery was in hacker-purgatory. Your kindness means a lot to me. The way people have reached out has been heart-warming to this old monk… well, I don’t look quite as old since I shaved my beard for the grand re-opening. What you didn’t notice? That’s ok. Neither did the cats. Not that they have a good track record…
