I thought it would be neat to be able to view a monastery via live webcam. This one refreshes every six minutes.

Here is a description of the monastery:

This is the Solovetsky Monastery, one of the most famous monasteries in Russia. A monastery since 1436, it was a prison camp during the 1920s and 1930s. The monastery was established once again in 1990. Nowadays it is a place popular with both tourists and pilgrims.

    Hi Katrina!! Yes it’s fun watching it, isn’t it. I didn’t see the grotto girl in red (::smile::) but I did see some headlights. Here’s the picture,

    Katrina, I think I have finally spotted your grotto nun running from the Monastery.. with lots of gleeful laughter… she musta just played a really good trick on Head Monk… maybe that’s him behind, chasing her. (Wish I knew what fun she was up to.) Here’s the picture of her quick get-away, and the unsuccessful attempt to catch her,

    I notice a small nun sneaking contraband into the Russian Monastery tonight… at 09:daylight:30 there… could it be SisterAnn with her famous brownies? Maybe… but was she sneaking them IN or OUT?

    The 2nd shot definitely shows the getaway car… two people in it… Hey!! Did Bonnie & Jamie say they were headed for Solovetsky any time soon? Is this Ken and Gloria? Is this really Temecula? Is this vehicle carrying a truckload of hungry dogs of fear? (Then it’s gotta be the Wapnick’s.) The thot plickens. (I stole that line from Bernard.)

    The colors at Solovetsky are always changing… this shot seems to be overcast skies, giving the picture a bluish color. I love it there, and seem to have a certain fetish for monasteries… Who’d a thought.
