The Abbacy: Admin Offices & Site FAQ

the-abbacy-main-officeWelcome to the Monastery of the Mists. An “abbacy” is the main office in a monastery. Here you can introduce yourself, take a tour through the monastery, ask a question of the admins, submit a suggestion, or read the FAQ (frequently asked questions), user-guide, glossary, or latest monastery announcements.

If we can help make your stay be more enjoyable please don’t hesitate to ask. Jane-admin assists with general questions, Emm-admin with classes and sessions, and Mother Superior is the host of the Cloister and will help you should you get lost or confused. Just whisper and she will be there.

Please have a seat by the fire, a warm cup of mountain tea, and make yourself comfortable. Someone from the monastery staff will be by shortly to help you.

What in the name of the sweet lovin’ Lord Jesus does A Course in Miracles have to do with monks and monasteries?

Monastery User-Guide:

Section One: Rooms of the Monastery

Some people have expressed being a bit overwhelmed by the amount of the rooms and conversations occurring in the Rooms of the Monastery so I want to simplify it. While there are 20 rooms in total, ONLY 7 of those rooms have ongoing conversations to follow:

1. The Class Room (for serious ACIM discussion)

2. The Grotto (The catch-all, free-for-all lovefest, partyfest)

3. Snuggery (Where monklings go for a warm blanket and hug)

4. Scream-o-torium (A safe place to share your latest Big Deal)

5. Dreamy’s Pillow (Where monklings share their nighttime dreams)

6. The Infirmary (Where monklings discuss acute or chronic illness, and receive comfort)

7. The Writer’s Loft (Where monklings share their writings, poems etc.)

8. The Blue Circle (Where monklings share their stories of forgiveness and healing)

There are intermittent posts in:

9. The Abbacy (questions for admins)

10. The Prayer Chapel (holidays, weddings, memorials)

The top row of rooms are administrative rooms without conversation:

11. Oratory of the Quiet (quick link for subscribers to Monk’s classes)

12. Private Sessions (explanation of private sessions with Monk)

13. Alms Bowl (quick link for those who wish to help monastery)

14. Monk Classes (quick link to access all classes by Monk)

There are next-to-no posts in:

15. The Scriptorium (some of Monk’s notes from FACIM workshops he’s attended)

16. The Reading Loggia (lists the most popular posts in the monastery, and is home to the compilation of past Whispers of the Day as selected by Monk)

And then there are rooms that don’t have any capability for conversation:

17. Monastery Music (Monk’s favorite music)

18. The Vigil (candle-lighting room)

19. The Sanctuary (a private chapel to soothe the heart)

20. The Cloister (a link to the last 400 whispers)

.

Section Two: Navigation

To go to the footer at the bottom of the main page where you can see the list of the last ten whispers, or today’s Workbook lesson, click on the blue “down arrow” near the top right of the page. Its exact location is in the far right corner of the header (the navy blue rectangle that has the title of the blog: A COURSE IN MIRACLES MONK).

Then, when you’re at the bottom of any page and you’d like to instantly return to the top of the page without scrolling, simply click on either one of the blue “up arrows” at the bottom of the page.

To search for a post go to the Nav Bar (see glossary above) near the bottom of the page and click “List All Posts”. This takes you to a page that shows the title and date of every post on the blog. You can scroll through these and look for a particular post, or you can search for a particular word or title by pressing CTRL-F (Command-F on macs) on your keyboard.

.

How do I follow ACIM Monk on Twitter?

Twitter explanation.

You do not have to join Twitter to follow the Twitter posts. All Twitter posts will be in the footer… the only thing you have to do is click the down arrow to read older posts, and the up arrow to return to read newer posts. Presently, Monk uses his Twitter feed to post the daily lesson from the Workbook for Students from A Course in Miracles.

If you would like to be notified when the Twitter is updated, you can follow acimmonk on Twitter. Follow the instructions on the site to set up an account.

.

Is this site affiliated with the Foundation for A Course in Miracles (FACIM)?

Our Monk doesn’t work for the Foundation and this website is not in any way affiliated with the Foundation (FACIM). However, Ken has encouraged him to continue with the site, to keep writing, put monk classes online, gave approval to Monk e-Business, permission for audio clips and other of his materials to be used, and reads/corrects selected posts for accuracy, but even with that close relationship, this site is the Monk’s alone.

.

Who is this acimmonk guy, anyway?

For a brief biography of acimmonk, please visit his profile page.

.

Does the acimmonk claim to be enlightened?

“Snort.”

  1. Nina whispered:

Hey you guys, I have the feeling this will save you a LOT of emails – hopefully we’ll remeber to put our questions here, so we all can read them and also hear the answers.
(I also sense a secret little room behind that central dark frame bewtween the chair. Liqour cabinet? or a secret door to a secret room?
Na. I don’t want secret rooms any longer.

  2. Michele whispered:

Lovely addition! I have a question that I believe may fall in Mother Superior’s balliwick:
Could you please direct me to the post Anil spoke of recently in the Infirmary: Our Monk’s ACIM story?
    Many Thanks!

  3. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

Michele love, if you st/croll down the cloister to Anil’s post starting: Dear Dear Winnie – you’ll get it.

I surmise your abbacy is working as intended in line with the long range plan of having monklings answer questions, write your daily blogs and (willingly, gladly with much heart) do the time consuming fiddly bits! Good plan!

  4. Michele whispered:

To copy wonderful Winnie’s heart warming comment…Glad you followed me here Al love!
Thanks so much! And of course re your fun comment above…the ability to delegate is a great one.

I came back with the question/comment:When I click on a room here it no longer displays /bottom in my browser bar and no longer takes me down to the bottom of the whispers.
Is this something that has to do with the new rooms remodel or just my computer? Or is the cloister the new get to it fast place. I shall perhaps discover this ? is moot.

  5. Anil whispered:

    Thanks, Al :)

    Michele -
Sorry been out of sorts for a day or so. Couldn’t write back right away. Another way to find it is to Click on the button “List All Posts”. (This button is near the bottom of the page – above the 9 pictures which are on the bottom of every page. (Twitter Monk, is to its’ right).

Then when you get the List of All Posts – you can scroll to the one titled “My ACIM Story”. It’s dated June 9th, 2006. (All posts are organized sequentially by date).

As I type this, I think Al’s way may be easier.. :)

  6. Mother Superior whispered:

Hi Michele! Yes, you got it! The change is part of the re-design. When you click on a room from the main page, it sends you to the top of that room’s page. If the room is new to you, you would then be able to enjoy reading all about it’s purpose, and even read the whispers from the beginning if you choose. If you would like to whisper, click on the ‘down arrow’ you’ll see at the top of the page. This brings you to the bottom of the page, for whispering!

And you pinned it perfectly. Yes, clicking on “The Cloister” is the short-cut to easy following of our whispering activity. Clicking on the name of the whisperer (just like you have always done) will bring that exact whisper to the top of your window for easy reading, just like before.

    {Re-lights cigar}
Hope this helps you find your way again!!

    Love,
    Mother

  7. Mother Superior whispered:

P.S. It’s lovely to see you helping one another…
    M♡M

  8. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

I learnt it from da best! ( trying to copy M♥m’s smooth cigar light’n'chomp move, drops lighter … picks up lighter … drops cigar… picks up cigar … chomps lighter … flicks on cigar …. drops both … gives up – figures there’s only room for one cool cat cigar chompin’momma in dis monastry!)

  9. Mother Superior whispered:

    {Joins Al for a late evening cigar… drops cigar, picks up, drops lighter, etc..}
    Too funny Al!

  10. Anonymous whispered:

    Dear Abbacy Team:
Is it possible to send a check/money order payment for classes (via postal mail/courier,etc) ? It will be a while before my credit card clears up, and I’d rather allocate some cash for this purpose now.
    Thanks.

  11. Emm-admin whispered:

Hi anonymous, Please email me. Love Emm

  12. Emm-admin whispered:

In regards to the names of the monastery rooms not appearing on mouse-over:

I passed this on to the monk and he says this is a bug (one of many) in Internet Explorer. He changed some coding to see if he could fix the problem for you. Please clear your cache (ctrl F5) and see if it’s working now. If it’s not, he told me that it would be like a host of other possible issues that would be browser-specific, browser or computer settings-specific, installed-software-specific, and security settings or spyware settings specific. There are some issues that will be generic, but others will be “highly individualized” :) as far as personal computers and settings.

He has also told me that the monastery is best viewed using Firefox. Safari and Opera are probably the next best, and the worst would be Internet Explorer as the other browsers all have standardized coding rules, whereas Internet Explorer does their own thing. This means that something will be properly formatted and look good on Firefox and other browsers, but look terrible on Internet Explorer or not work at all. It drives coders (like Cody) crazy, and means lots of extra work.

    Love
    Emm

  13. Nina whispered:

I love Firefox. I have both installed, but use only Firefox. Everything in the Monastery works great.

  14. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

Now browsing in Firefox – looking good! thanks Monk and Emm loves.

  15. DonnaD whispered:

Hi Emm. B-I-G hugs… just for fun… DD

  16. Katrina whispered:

Whatever Monk tweaked, it fixed the hover over titles. They are the full room name now. Same with names of the Monklings – fixed. Dude, the genius title earned again. Works in both Firefox and in IE.
    Mucho thanks.

  17. Michele whispered:

A request: After reading Monk’s amazing My ACIM story I’m hoping it could be made easier to find. I was telling someone about it in my ACIM study group class last night and told him to scroll forever in the cloister to find Anil’s whisper that begins w/ Dearest Dearest Winne. Anil gave me another technique above in the all posts dated entry way to find it. I think people just love reading how I found ACIM stories and don’t want anyone to have to go to the trouble making another room for it- though I do like the idea. Would our Monk feel OK about posting it along with his profile one can read from clicking on his monk gravatar at the top of the page?

  18. Mother Superior whispered:

Thanks, Michele… I’ll pass your idea along to Monk.

  19. DonnaD whispered:

MS, would you mind asking Monk if it is possible to add his Class Summaries to his Monk Classes: Downloads room? That way if someone is interested in selecting a class, they can take a look at the summary to help make the decision—-just to make it easier. Thank you, DD.

  20. Mother Superior whispered:

DD: Sure, you betcha!! Will do! Gotcha. Right-o. I’m so on it. :::::giggle:::::

  21. DonnaD whispered:

That giggling was EXTREMELY professional… :::giggling back::: (giggling is catchy… like a good laugh…)

  22. DonnaD whispered:

Oops… I found out when you click on the class it automatically takes you to the summary. My bad…

  23. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

I’m trying to find a way to listen to an exerpt of Monk’s classes to find out if i can actually hear them. i tried following DD’s advice to download from a side bar on the tool box ( or something like that) in Monks classes link but couldn’t find it (the download an exerpt button). I just want a small example to see if it’s worth my while purchasing. If my credit card was any good I’d just download a class anyway – but it’s not – so i’m going to ask my (rich lawyer) sister to buy me a whole heap for my birthday (23rd December). So basically – may i please have a sneaky peek for free?

  24. Mother Superior whispered:

Al, there are some sound clips on this page for you to test out… at the bottom of the post after the list of classes..
    http://www.acimmonk.com/monk-classes-download.html
    Hope this helps!

  25. Mother Superior whispered:

P.S. Click on the play arrow to hear them through your computer speakers… The actual purchased classes can be downloaded into an mp3 file for you to listen to in whichever player suits your needs.. the computer, an iPod, etc.

  26. Katrina whispered:

Al, back in the annals of time, maybe 4-6 months ago, Monk posted a couple samples of his classes, among the daily posts. Look at the beginning of the months’. Anyone remember which months had those? I don’t think you can download them, though. So, if you were going to offload them to a special playing device, they might not be what you are looking for.

You do remind me of a Christmas gift. Hugs, Katrina

  27. Katrina whispered:

Well, there you have it. I was thinking of typing in “Maaaaaaaaaaaa”, and it turns out she was typing at the same time as me. Boy, I’m loving this a new kind of ‘Ma’ — One with lots of experience, and nearly 14 grandchildren!

  28. Mother Superior whispered:

    :::::kisses:::::

  29. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

    Thanks guys – found them … listened … couldn’t hear much … JAFO comin’up!

  30. Mother Superior whispered:

Al, can you hear music or spoken word on an mp3 player?

  31. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

I think there is technology to be investigated here …i’m sure it’s possible and will entail a bit of searching and trialing. monk’s classes are the first thing i’ve come across that seem worth the effort! Music – is like: ‘It’s music Spock but not like we know it.’ A guitar sounds alot like a idling harley and violin is pretty much finger nails on blackboard territory. When i can put visuals to the sound (lyrics or a face to lipread) i get about 60% more.

  32. Emm-admin whispered:

Hi Al, Please check your inbox. Jamie had me send you a class to try out. Love Emm

  33. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

Thanks so much guys – i got it! Can’t hear enough in it’s ‘raw’ state but will investigate thingys to plug into an ipod that can connect directly to my processor.

  34. melody whispered:

How do we check our inbox?

    Sorry ;-(

  35. melody whispered:

Never mind, I thought above Emm-admin said y’all and not Al! ;-))) In the meantime, I did figure out how to get my monkmail!!!

    Love and gratitude
    melody

  36. lawrence whispered:

I am glad I found this place. My mind is racing with all the questions I have. There is so much I don’t know, that I can’t stand it! So much to do and so little time, or so it seems.

  37. Lisa whispered:

Hey guys, there’s a new Ken video in the side bar. The Silent One has left it for us to find. : )

  38. winnie whispered:

Dear Emm … i know a brother is always right but does the first post in the Blue Circle contain an error ? …. love and hugs to you !

  39. DonnaD whispered:

I have the info given re using Image Shack. Now, do I have to save the picture to a file on my compute before I can use IS? NOT computer literate… or anything else, for that matter….

  40. Mother Superior whispered:

DD: Yes. Find your image on the web, save it to your computer (remember where you saved it to.. i.e. desktop folder, etc), then load it up to Image Shack.

  41. Mother Superior whispered:

The Image Shack website will have a button called “Browse”, and after clicking on it will give you a window in which to choose the proper picture file from on your computer.

  42. DonnaD whispered:

For some reason this doesn’t seem to be working for me. I am tired so will go to bed and try again tomorrow. Good nite…. sleep tight….

  43. Mother Superior whispered:

    Nite nite DD.

  44. DonnaD whispered:

This may be outside the realm of what you can do for me but I’ll give it a shot anyway. I am on my new computer now and I have managed to get the fonts set up for size, etc, for the most part. But when I begin to type in Whispers, the font is so small as to be almost unreadable. Yet once I submit the whisper, it then becomes normal sized. Anyone know what is wrong? Thank you. DD.

  45. Emm-admin whispered:

Hi Donna, It is difficult to say because it depends on PC or Mac, which browser you are using, and the settings you’ve chosen. I’ve asked a couple people and it sounds like whatever you did with setting up your fonts is probably the issue. Restoring settings to default might solve the problem. Good luck! Emm

  46. DonnaD whispered:

Thanks Emm. It’s a PC and I’m using Firefox. I’ll check out the default and see if that works. Much appreciated. Merry Christmas. Love, DD.

  47. DonnaD whispered:

Emm, it now works. Thanks for the suggestion. Yay…. (slurps some wine—-it’s five o’clock somewhere….).

  48. Emm-admin whispered:

    Wonderful Donna!

  49. Anne/Texas whispered:

DonnaD, you are in “the office” alot – are you in trouble? computer detention?
    just askin’….. ;)

  50. DonnaD whispered:

Just lookin’ for attention. It worked ;-))

  51. Nina whispered:

    Hi admin :-)
I would like to know which post had all the photos of jamie’s of his mountain monastery. Thanks!

  52. Mother Superior whispered:

    Hi Nina,

The post is Life on the Mountain.

And then there is the Mountain Monastery Gallery.

In the Abbey it’s the icon with the picture of mountains and the sun.
    Merry Christmas there in Norway,
    Sending love,
    Mother

  53. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

(Bursting into the office panting madly) Guys? Am i too late to apply for a gift class or have they already been taken? Not that i’d mind paying but i just tried and my card is maxed out so …. just thought i’d ask … being able to HEAR them an’all! ( Huge grin) ( like huge huge huge grin)

  54. Emm-admin whispered:

Al you are not too late, there are still three donated classes left so please email me and I will be happy to send you the class of your choice!

P.S. Anyone else who hasn’t ever purchased a class, there are now two left. Please email me to claim them. (Or whisper here.)

  55. Emm-admin whispered:

Joe requested a place for newcomers to introduce themselves. The introduction to The Abbacy (please see top of this page) has been updated to reflect this request, and to clarify the Abbacy as the welcome center of the monastery.

It also serves as the home of the admin offices and a guide to navigating the monastery.

  56. Joe whispered:

Wow! I love the changes – a very nice welcome to the monastery. May all who find the Monastery of the Mists experience the gentle kindness that it (everyone) offers : )

  57. Nina whispered:

    Hi dear Emm
I just prescribed for january’s classes. How do i get the password?

  58. Emm-admin whispered:

    Hi Nina

It is the same as last year – I email it to each subscriber.

    Thank you for your subscription.

    Love
    Emm-admin

  59. Emm-admin whispered:

A reminder: For anyone planning on choosing a recurring subscription to the Oratory of the Quiet Heart (monthly Monk classes), it makes things much simpler for me if it is done on the 1st of any month. Thank you!

P.S. All Oratory links around the site have been updated to January 2010. :-)

    Happy New Year!

  60. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

Could TS laura’s poem – #676 in the Screamatorium please be added to the poetry posts?

  61. winnie whispered:

hello Al ! i miss you babe ! xoxoxooxoxoxoxooxoxoxo

  62. Lisa whispered:

    Hey there-

Could someone please change the year on the Prayer Chapel to 2010?

(I’m having a bit of anxiety today and doing a darn good job of projecting onto this!)

    : )

  63. Mother Superior whispered:

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you….

  64. Mother Superior whispered:

    :::::Giggles:::::

  65. Lisa whispered:

    Thanks Mom!

You sure know how to make me laugh : ) And laughter is good medicine!

Off to yoga for some more laughter….

    Cheers!

  66. Mother Superior whispered:

Lisa – I didn’t actually do the ‘fix’ for you… It all happens behind the scenes.. “Someone” did it… but it is so cute when I see these things happen after someone asks… LIke this feeling of knowing everything works out whether or not I can perceive it that way… Just ask!!!

Have fun at yoga!!! No laughing during class!!

    [Thank you, "someone"]

  67. Lisa whispered:

A quiet little elf, no doubt.

I was only laughing on the inside at yoga today. : )

  68. LaAnnie whispered:

I’m at lunch with me laptop and a thought popped into my mind…would it be possible to have clocks displaying time in all the different time zones? I’d like to know when the kookaburras are singing.

  69. Nina whispered:

    singing, and sleeping…

  70. Mother Superior whispered:

Silly wabbit — kookaburras don’t keep time when they sing.

  71. DonnaD whispered:

The kookaburra song just for you…

  72. LaAnnie whispered:

Thanks Ladies! You know when Winnie mentioned she was just going to bed when the Kooka-
burras were starting to sing and I thought about all of our overseas monklings and how I’m very bad at figuring out where they are in their day. Some are a day ahead, or a season behind, for some its daylight for 24/7 and others are in darkness. Not that knowing what time it is would change anything…I just thought the next time Monk needs a project, well second thought he’s very busy now.

DD I remember that song from grade school let’s sing it around the campfire sometime. And did you notice all the trees in the background. There was probably a kookaburra in one of them! (need to google kookaburra)Hey tell us about your love of trees sometime. I have a friend who insists he came to planet Earth because of the trees. People suck…but trees…Oh no I didn’t just say that! Well I’m just repeating what he said. He likes me so maybe I have some tree qualities…Hee Hee.

I have a favorite tree I visit at Descanso Gardens …its about 300 years old. I know that’s just a fledgling but for Southern California its amazing. We usually have a sweet visit…at least I’d like to think so. I sit at the base of the tree with my spine along its thick trunk and I let it feed me its wisdom. I don’t understand stand any of it but I love the way I feel. My greatest challenge is always how he loves the birds and how they love him back. I haven’t made my peace with them (too feathery) but one day maybe I too will spread out my arms and embrace them…naaa not in this life.
OMG I’m just rambling…’Kookaburra sits in the ole gum tree-e merry merry king of the bush is he laugh Kookaburra laugh Kookaburra gay your life must be’. How could you not be happy singing that song. Night Monklings; just stopped by for vespers and a quick laugh. Can’t wait for tomorrows mind blowing questions…until then…

    Love you,
    Annie

  73. winnie whispered:

Darling Annie … i so enjoyed this post that `s just flowed from your heart. Next time you visit your favourite tree please give him a hug from me.
What a surprise to learn that they teach that song to American kids !…and speaking of trees, yesterday i received The Lighthouse” newsletter form FACIM and the main story is “I NEVER THOUGHT I`D SEE THOSE TREES AGAIN”.

Ken recounts a vision {in his mind} of he and Helen visiting Galilee. Helen began to weep {i think a rare occurence}, and said the title words…. He goes on to say -- “Through the woods could be seen the figure of Jesus, and joyfully we knew we had reached the end of our journey”

    love you
    winnie

  74. LaAnnie whispered:

Winnie I was able to open the video in google thanks for attaching. It does sound like they are laughing …boy that would be hard to sleep with if one worked a graveyard shift…or just couldn’t get to sleep till 4:30 am!
Thanks also for the Ken quotes…I’ll lookout for the Lighthouse newsletter. Until then I’ll go hug a tree:)

    Peace,
    Annie

  75. Nina whispered:

Mother dear – would you know where I can find Nick’s video with the Tibetan monk recently posted? I lost my sound at the Pc, and got it back again today, and really wanted to see and hear that one…thank you xoxoxo

  76. Mother Superior whispered:

Hi Nina, it’s whisper #17 in the Mountain Monastery Gallery – Enjoy!!!

    Love,
    Mother

  77. winnie whispered:

hello all you lovely administers of silent love :)
    May i submit a suggestion ?

Is it possible we could build a new room to have a place to discuss Course ponderings and processing and relatively insignificant musings etc, a quiet place to just express where we are at a given moment… The Blue Circle feels like a space for significant moments, and the others all have their specific purposes.

I did think the treehouse was a good place to type away quietly and ponder over stuff but didnt want to disturb the sleeping monklings all tucked up in their sleeping bags on the floor

although i guess i could move the typewriter up to the deck……..

A TWINGE in the ELBOWS is the same as TERMINAL CANCER
    _____________________________________________________

I have mild {very mild] tendonitis in both elbows ….why ?

Jesus : “unconscious guilt – let`s look at it”

Zooming in…..it seems to come from typing, not that I do much, but that`s not the point. There is no order or sense in trying to understand anything in the world.

    Zooming closer ….sometimes I want to express my self so badly now that I have discovered I really like to { with written words}

There is no point in my looking forward to the day when I can say “God is” and cease to speak, because while I think like that, that day will never come because I am making the ego real. So, I will work with where I am at – looking beneath the pain to the subtle stomatized anxiety that my self-expression brings and forgiving the need to express myself at all while going ahead and expressing myself.

Even though I know that I cannot contribute anything to the Truth as surely as I know that forgiveness works,……. a part of me must either think I have something to say or need to feel special. Moreover there is a certain sense of urgency… I want to say it first ! There is a devious egotistic underlying motive to my desires all hung around with the thorny roses of anxiety that my self-expression brings .

Well big deal and what else is new
Now where`s that soothing cream and what was I saying …..

    Another way of doing nothing…

  79. TexAnneCan whispered:

See -- I would prefer not to!

  80. Al from Aotearoa☼ whispered:

    A ruminating room winnie?

  81. Nina whispered:

A roominating room would be soo well received , thankyou ( unless the Monastery has to use its funds for other more important stuff – )
Winnie, there is a practice that might start you on flowwriting at least 3 a4-sheets each morning, just let it write, its’ just for you – things will come from itself, especially at the last page, it becomes sort of a meditation..maybe you will find that some short sentences that has come might be the beginning to something more…I know how much I loved to read your story to one of my images…just giving time and space to your expression tends to just help it rolling…

  82. Michele whispered:

    MOM~
My computer goes all wonky in the scream o torium. Is anyone else having issues navigating there? I can visit and scroll and whisper in other rooms here, but man o man I’ve tried navigating in there and just get the hourglass icon and it’s a freeze zone in there. any insight on this??

  83. acimmonk whispered:

Hi Michele: Thanks for the heads-up. I just worked on the page and I think it’s fixed now.

  84. Michele whispered:

Yay!!!Thanks alot!! also Jamie…when i was away I couldn’t download your classes so how I have all of them to enjoy!!! whoo hoo!

  85. acimmonk whispered:

When you visit The Rooms of the Monastery in the sidebar, you will see a new order in rows two and three.

The second row now has the theme of learning, and the third row the theme of sharing.

  86. Ruth-Anne whispered:

Thank-you so much Jamie and everybody behind the scenes for all you do.

  87. Nina whispered:

The Scream-O-Torioum has a theme of learning? not sharing?

  88. acimmonk whispered:

Hi Nina: It was between the Scream-o-Torium and The Writer’s Loft (as each theme already had four rooms and needed a fifth), and I preferred the S-O-T on the teaching row (because it teaches honesty and humility — two key elements in forgiveness), although it easily could have been on either.

  89. Nina whispered:

    - “it teaches honesty and humility — two key elements in forgiveness” – what a great new way for me to see the S-O-T. I just found a new and loving perception – thanks, Monk!

  90. Lisa whispered:

Hi there! I think the small monks are busy with Ruth-Anne in the Grotto doing, umm, something. And so they forgot to change the workbook lesson to day 47….(just trying to finish up the day’s chores:)

  91. Mother Superior whispered:

Thank you Lisa!! Fixed now… sometimes the small monks just need a little help overcoming their distractions… there are many.

    Love,
    M.

  92. Lisa whispered:

Yes, and Ruth-Anne is keeping them very, very busy- there’s so much fruit to, umm, harvest. And I’m just finishing the sweeping, so I think we’re all done for the day. It might be just about time for a nap, waddya think?

  93. acimmonk whispered:

When you read the Whisper of the Day in the cloister of The Reading Loggia you will see a link to the post it came from. That link doesn’t just take you to the post, it takes you to the exact whisper. The whisper will appear at the top of your screen so you can easily read it and any responses to it.

Here is an example from yesterday’s whisper-of-the-day; just click the link:
