The Abbey
After a tremendous two-month-long effort, I’m pleased to announce the doors to The Abbey are finally open. You will find it waiting to be explored in the revamped sidebar.
While all of the galleries have paint, lighting, and sparkling hardwood floors, some of them are awaiting your contributions. In fact, all of them of are, just some more than others.
Submit all pictures, with the title you want displayed, to Jane-Admin for consideration.
We’re looking for your personal photos of Ken, Gloria, Helen, Bill, or Judith. Exceptional photos of Jesus, Mary, monks, nuns, monasteries, Temecula, Roscoe, or FACIM.
We’d also love a photo of every reader/monkling for the Monklings Gallery. And a photo of anyone who has ever subscribed to the Oratory for the Brothers and Sisters of the Oratory Gallery.
We’d also like a picture of your beloved cat for inclusion in the Monastery Cats Gallery.
Any monkling who would like their own personal gallery to share a piece of their monastic life with other monklings, please submit photos and the title of your gallery to Jane-Admin, Gallery Curator. (If you already have a gallery and would like a photo removed, or a title changed etc., just let Jane know and she’ll take care of it.)
I’ve had Cody (official monastery developer) create a comments/whispers section for each gallery, so please keep all Abbey related discussion in the related gallery post so that it will be easy to follow rather than scattered piecemeal across many different posts.
If you would like to suggest an additional gallery please do so in the whispers, and we will look into it.
The Abbey galleries and photos will only continue to grow as time goes by, so keep an eye out for new additions by clicking on the galleries.

Hi Everyone. I have been reading and loving this blog for the past year and now I am starting to whisper. Thank you all for the many moments of comfort I have received in this monastery. Monk and you all mean so much to me. I have been a student of ACIM since 2001, the year my daughter was born.
I recently watched the Abba Dancing Queen video from Lisa (THANKS Lisa!) from the Paulo whisphers and loved it. I listen to disco music a lot. I think we should have dancing and Abba at the wedding for Nick and Heather.
Love, Kendall

I have been catching up and walking the halls in the monastery and watering the flowers and pumpkins in the garden. I lit candles in the Scriptorium.
I love it here. It’s so peaceful watching the Autumn Light from the windows dance across the floor, or the evening sun going down from the garden or little Dreamy “die wunderkatze” playing with her mouse.
I am so grateful to have this place to come and rest my weary head. Thank-you all of my fellow monks for the drinks of water and pieces of fruit when I was so hungry and thirsty. You are all so generous and kind.
I am grateful for this. And I am grateful to you Jamie. You guided me to take the Course from my head to my heart. Intellectual to Experiential. Gentleness and Kindness breathes through you. My Brother. My Self.

Oh this is exciting! going to put my face up, and my (deceased) cat(s) ( since they’re still around and busy loving me)
and exciting with a new whisperer, welcome, Kendall! is that female or male :-)( i am norwegian, see)
Ruth-Anne, I am grateful that you take care of the pumpkins. What I love most about the Monastery gardens, I think, is the sounds from wind in the great old trees, and there is also a wonderful natural grotto made of leaves/branches where the sun streames in through the foliage. I love to lie there and listen to the birds.
loving you all so much!

Thank you dear monk for this new addition. No doubt this is the perfect Monastery for us all, we have peace, learning, and a lot of fun. Thanks to you and to all the monks that whisper and give such a life to this Monastery. I want also to congratulate the wedding couple, nick and heather. You have a lot of love all around you here at the Monastery and I think this will help you a lot in your life as a couple. Love and hugs for everybody at the Monastery, and a lot of thanks to our monk, to Bonnie, Emm, Jane, Cody, and all people behind all the love that we receive every day from this Monastery. Lisi

Debbi: Thank you very much for your tip about the Abbey´s pictures on the main page. I held the mouse over the picture and then gave a click and oh surprise! each picture opens and holds a lot of more pictures. Really nice, thank you Jamie, it´s fantastic.

Dear Monk
Could we have a little place somewhere outside in the garden, maybe in the grotto that Nina loves to frequent where we could just have smoko together and chat about whatever takes our fancy. It feels so much more relaxing to be out near those grand old trees just listening to the sounds of the wind playing with leaves.
We could have a giggle or two about Course trivia. I`ve been itching to ask who likes the first edition and how entertaining it is to listen to Ken bitch about those who still use it [so that he has gives two lots of page numbers].
What he doesnt get, is that with the old edition you can put stickers everywhere – and winnie loves stickers !} I`ve got lots of mean/nasty/ugly/ sneaky ones to illustrate Mr Ego and of course lots of smileys too and love hearts and stars etc
Or we could just talk about the up and coming monastery wedding and how we will be wearing our hair etc..
Anyways just a thought…..
love and huggledy-poos from me
p.s. Ruth-Anne …. those candles you lit in the Scriptorium smell lovely … methinks they were infused with lavender.

This Kendall is a woman but there are men named Kendall also so it is a good question Nina. I was not able to visit and peek around our monastery for awhile and it is so lovely to come back and wander around taking it all in.
